Welcome to Roland Rogers

Elementary School

Where we practice the 4-R’s: Respect, Responsibility, Reach 100% and Read!

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year!

Roland Rogers Elementary School is a culturally diverse, successful Professional Learning Community where the faculty, staff, parents and the administrators work collaboratively to increase student achievement, build good citizenship and respect the cultural diversity of our school family.

It is great to be able to carry-on all of our programs, activities and events now that Galloway

Schools are fully open again and permitting parents and families to attend our special events. Two

years ago we began exploring “Leadership” among students. We enhanced our student leadership

building through two school-wide themes; 2020-2021 “Growth Mindset – Yes I can” and 2021-2022

“Got Grit.” These themes offered encouragement and motivation to our students during and after the

pandemic and virtual learning. We hope to build on these themes and further enhance student

leadership at Roland.

We are eager to continue all of the educational programs used to enhance student learning

and citizenship, such as: Morning Academic STEAM Club, Social Emotional Learning, Terrific Tiger

Program, Character Education School-wide Themed Activities, the Good Citizen program, STARRs,

Student Council, Healthy Schools Student Vegetable Garden, and the Roland Reads and Roland

Reads Jr. Programs. We are also eager to continue engaging parents through our “Partnering with

Parents” events and Roland Rogers Student Award Ceremonies.

We pride ourselves on working towards providing a bully-free climate, collaborative

relationships with parents, and providing an environment where students are important and taught the value of hard work and charity. Our school community exhibit acts of kindness through benevolent efforts that have supported various charitable organizations such as: St. Baldrick’s, Leukemia & Lymphoma association, Beacon Church’s food drive, Galloway’s Let Us Eat Food Program, Field of

Dreams and The Atlantic City Rescue Mission.

Let’s continue working together. Get involved! Please continue to support all efforts of academic, social and emotional success of students by helping us, help your child grow and succeed!
